Corporate and Student registration will open this summer. Keep an eye here for updates on the scheduled events!

Students, prepare your elevator pitches and research presentation! The deadline to upload is August 27th.

  • Hybrid Expo: This year events will be split between in-person and virtual options. We will be using Zoom platform. So, having a zoom account (free) set up will help you a lot!

  • Exhibition replaced by breakout sessions: Trade show style exhibition of the companies will be replaced this year by breakout sessions with the companies. Companies are free to envision and design this per their wish and requirement. Expo Committee recommends having informal meetings with small group of students on sign-up basis.

  • Participation of various Industries: Professionals and geoscientists from different industries, where geoscience and related skill-sets are an integral part of the daily operations, will be sharing their knowledge, and career development tips.

  • Virtual student presentations: Students will still get to share their introductory "elevator pitch" and their research with recruiters via pre-recorded videos. Upon registration, students will receive invitation to upload their speech videos. However, it is strongly recommended that they get prepared to upload these BEFORE the registration is opened.

  • Awards for both research speech and "elevator pitch": Similar to the previous years, winners of the best research presentations and will be awarded during the event. In addition, best elevator pitches will also be awarded this year. -The competition is entirely virtual and is judged by geoscientists from industries.

  • One simple package: Student registration is complimentary and provides access to the entire event. Please note, some events may need sign up, e.g., company breakout sessions. Log in to a seminar will be locked 15 min after the meeting/presentation starts.

  • Day long short courses are replaced by short seminars: Career seminars and technical seminars will replace the usual day long short courses. This way, more information can be shared with students. The goal is to connect as many dots as possible across the geoscience student and professional communities.

  • Unintended short duration of registration: One unintended consequence of our response to the unprecedented time we are in is a very short registration time. Restructuring of the event has significantly reduced the time we are usually able to offer for registration. Hence we recommend all attendees to please PREPARE before you attempt to register with your documents, videos and information that you will need to submit. We thank you for your patience and support.
